PRIVATISATION PROCESS
Step 1:
Identification and Inclusion in Privatisation Programme
The programme shall specify public entities identified to be included in the Privatisation Programme.
Step 2:
Consultation
The Cabinet Secretary shall make appropriate consultation with persons likely to be affected by privatisation of the public entity.
Step 3:
Submission to Cabinet
After the consultations/public participation, the Cabinet Secretary shall forward the proposed Privatisation Programme to the Cabinet for approval.
Step 4:
Ratification by National Assembly
Upon approval by the Cabinet, the Cabinet Secretary shall submit the approved Privatisation Programme to the National Assembly for ratification.
Step 5:
Publication
Once ratified, the Privatisation Programme shall be published in the Kenya Gazette.
